Weekend agenda

  • SkirtsAfire Reimagined has extended the run of most of its programming, including Dana Wylie's Makings of a Voice, which is available online until March 20, and visual art installations in Old Strathcona until March 31.
  • New Music Edmonton presents Now Hear This from March 20-28. The festival explores an array of creative digital works, interviews, and live streams with Canadian musicians, composers, and performers. All events are free or by donation.
  • Alberta Council for the Ukrainian Arts (ACUA) and Ukrainian Resource and Development Centre at MacEwan University launched a virtual tour to accompany their Threads That Connect exhibit. The tour is approximately one hour and features curator Larisa Sembaliuk Cheladyn. The exhibit is also on display until March 20 at the ACUA Gallery. The gallery is limited to six people at a time as per COVID-19 regulations.
  • Mitchell Art Gallery is displaying Dress & Escapism: Performance of Identity through Drag and Burlesque Costume, curated by Josée Chartrand and available virtually through March 27.
