- Alberta has reported 1,807 cases of COVID-19 over the past three days (696 on Friday, 556 on Saturday, 555 on Sunday) with hospitalizations continuing to tick upward. "This is the preventable wave," Dr. Joe Vipond, an emergency room physician in Calgary, told Postmedia. "We know exactly what we need to do."
- Const. Hunter Robinz, a six-year member of the Edmonton Police Service, has been relieved from duty without pay and faces multiple charges including assault after an off-duty incident in Stony Plain on March 12.
- The Edmonton Isolation Facility, which began at the Edmonton EXPO Centre but now operates out of a south Edmonton hotel, has provided 12,000 bed days of service over the past year with about 2,000 distinct admissions.
- Black knot, an unsightly fungal infection spreading throughout trees in Edmonton, disfigures and can eventually kill trees if untreated. City arborists have removed 390 trees and pruned another 2,600 in an effort to mitigate the spread.
- New e-scooter rules could be coming to Edmonton in an attempt to keep them off sidewalks. The City of Edmonton told CBC News it is working with Lime, Bird, and business improvement areas to enhance operations and communications.
