Your guide to summer festivals and events in Edmonton: 2017 edition!

Edmonton is one of the sunniest cities in Canada, receiving nearly 2,300 hours of sunlight each year. That might help to explain why our city truly lives up to its "festival city" moniker in the summer months. Whether you are here for a visit and are looking for something to do, or you're a longtime resident and seasoned festival-goer, there's no shortage of great events to fill your summer calendar with.

We have also decided to include a listing of the many markets you can find around Edmonton. Some are open year-round, but many are just open for the summer, usually from late May or early June to late September or early October.
