Events Roundup
Feb. 12, 2026
This week, we're highlighting an event pick by Taproot's community coordinator, Debbi Serafinchon. Debbi's pick is Burning Mom, a performace that will have you checking your bucket list.
Burning Mom
📅 Feb. 14 to March 8
📍 Citadel Theatre
In this inspiring comedy, Dorothy, a 63-year-old widow, realizes life is too short to delay her dreams.
Here's what Debbi had to say:
"I've had my eye on this since it was announced in the Citadel Theatre's season lineup. I can't wait to watch the lead character ditch her comfort zone and finally embrace the adventurous life she was meant for."

Are you a trans and/or queer women who wants to try an inclusive sport? Come try quadball! Quadball is a chaotic and fun mix of handball, dodgeball, and flag football. The Edmonton Quadball Association is committed to providing safe and inclusive sport to all. Transphobia has no place in this province. We will teach participants the basic skills and rules of quadball, learn some gameplay strategies, and then play some full games. All you need is yourself, some running shoes for a gym floor, comfortable clothes to move in, and a water bottle. We will provide the rest!
