Events Roundup
Feb. 19, 2026
This week, we're highlighting an event pick by Taproot's reporter, Colin Gallant. Colin's pick is the Sweet Treats & Latte Festival, a winter celebration of food and drink in Old Strathcona.
Sweet Treats & Latte Festival
š Feb. 12 to Feb. 22
Edmonton's Sweetest Festival Returns to Whyte Ave!
Here's what Colin had to say:
"This festival has plenty of hot drinks and fresh-baked goodies to enjoy, but I love iced drinks and frosty sweets during the winter months. Luckily, there are plenty of those, too. I'm starting with an iced Vietnamese coffee from Momma Tong, because I've enjoyed the shop's at-home kits for the drink countless times, and I'm still deciding whether to try the adorable assortment of four tiny ice cream cones at DRTY Ice Cream or the pistachio-vanilla affogato from PIP after that. If I'm being honest, it'll probably be both."
