Events Roundup
May 7, 2026
This week, we're highlighting an event pick by Taproot co-founder Karen Unland. Karen recommends Request Programme, a wordless performance featuring actors from the past 50 years of Northern Light Theatre history.
Request Programme
📅 April 30 to May 16
📍 Fringe Theatre Arts Barns
This wordless performance will be played by 17 actors from the past 50 years of Northern Light Theatre history, ranging in age from their 20s to their 80s. A different show every night.
Here's what Karen had to say:
"You will not see the show I did, as Vanessa Sabourin's turn in this gut-punch of a production was one-night-only, as is the case for every actress tapped to silently perform the events of an evening, accompanied by the meaningful music of 10 Edmonton chanteuses. It's a must-see at least once; twice if you're braver than me."
